Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between South Africa Champions and England Champions scheduled for October 13 2026 at 7:30 AM ET in World Championship of Legends. The outcome corresponding to South Africa Champions will be considered correct if South Africa Champions is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to England Champions will be considered correct if England Champions is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

It's common to see differences between prediction market odds and those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market reflects the collective wisdom of traders. If sportsbooks heavily favor one team, but this market shows a more even split, it could indicate disagreement or differing information being considered by each group. Discrepancies can arise from varying levels of expertise, access to information, or simply differing opinions on the likely outcome of the toss.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to incorporate new information and changing sentiment surrounding the League of Legends World Championship toss.

This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result of the toss – which team wins – will be determined by the official broadcast or announcement from the League of Legends World Championship organizers. The resolution will be based on the publicly available record of the toss, ensuring a transparent and verifiable outcome for all traders participating in this market.

Several factors could influence the price of shares in this market. Any news regarding team form, player availability, or strategic changes could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements from the League of Legends World Championship organizers, or even commentary from prominent analysts, could also cause price fluctuations. Furthermore, large volume trades on Polymarket can quickly impact the odds, especially if they signal a strong conviction from informed traders regarding the likely winner of the toss.
