This market refers to the cricket match between India Champions and West Indies Champions scheduled for October 13 2026 at 11:30 AM ET in World Championship of Legends. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Polymarket allows traders to directly assess probabilities. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there's strong public sentiment or information asymmetry. If a large number of traders believe one team is more likely to win than sportsbooks suggest, the odds on Polymarket will reflect that. It's common to see prediction markets outperform sportsbooks in accuracy, as they aggregate diverse opinions and incentivize informed trading.
This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the World Championship of Legends match between the India and West Indies champions. Any disputes or ambiguities will be resolved by referencing official tournament results and established rules. The outcome will be determined by which team is declared the winner of the championship match, as verified by official sources.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, team performance in preceding matches, or changes in coaching strategies could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about the match venue or schedule could also lead to price fluctuations. Furthermore, significant media coverage or expert analysis predicting a particular outcome could drive trading volume and alter the implied probabilities. Overall team form and head-to-head records are also key signals traders will be watching closely.
