This market refers to the cricket match between India Champions and South Africa Champions scheduled for October 6 2026 at 7:30 AM ET in World Championship of Legends. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, ensuring a profit margin, while this market allows traders to directly assess probabilities. Polls and analysts currently favor a particular team, but this market provides a dynamic, real-time assessment of potential outcomes based on collective intelligence. Discrepancies can arise due to varying levels of information, differing opinions, and the incentive structures of each venue. It’s important to consider both sources when evaluating potential outcomes.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the market price adjusts to reflect the collective wisdom of the crowd. The current price is determined by the forces of supply and demand; if more people believe an outcome is likely, the price of shares representing that outcome will increase, and vice versa. This creates a dynamic and efficient pricing mechanism.
This market resolves around Oct 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official results of the World Championship of Legends competition, as reported by the event organizers. The market will determine which team emerges victorious from the competition. Traders will be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome, as determined by the official results and verified against credible public sources. It's important to monitor the event's progress as the resolution date approaches.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market before its resolution. Any news regarding team performance, player injuries, or strategic changes could influence trader sentiment. Unexpected upsets in preliminary matches or changes in the competitive landscape could also drive price fluctuations. Public opinion shifts, as reflected in polls or media coverage, might also impact trading activity. Major announcements from the event organizers, such as changes to the tournament format, could also cause movement. Monitoring these factors will be crucial for understanding potential shifts in this market.
