Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between India Champions and Australia Champions scheduled for October 3 2026 at 7:30 AM ET in World Championship of Legends. The outcome corresponding to India Champions will be considered correct if India Champions is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to Australia Champions will be considered correct if Australia Champions is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on a combination of statistical models and the perceived public’s betting tendencies, aiming to balance their risk. This market, however, reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, risk assessment, or simply a different set of participants. Observing these differences can be valuable when forming your own informed opinion about the event’s potential results.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust dynamically, reflecting the evolving consensus. This creates a real-time assessment of the likelihood of each possible result in the World Championship of Legends toss match.

This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The result will be based on the official announcement of the toss winner for the World Championship of Legends match between the India and Australia Champions. The platform will verify the result against publicly available information to determine which outcome corresponds to the actual event outcome. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will forfeit their investment.

Several factors could influence trading activity in this market leading up to Oct 10, 2026. Any news regarding team form, player availability, or strategic changes could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about the match conditions or potential delays could also create volatility. Furthermore, significant shifts in public opinion, as reflected in social media or other polls, might impact the perceived probabilities. Ultimately, any information that alters the assessment of either team’s chances of winning the toss has the potential to move this market.
