This market refers to which team's player records the highest individual run total in the cricket match between England Champions and West Indies Champions scheduled for October 18 2026 at 11:30 AM ET in World Championship of Legends. The outcome corresponding to England Champions will be considered correct if the highest individual score in the match is recorded exclusively by a player from England Champions. The outcome corresponding to West Indies Champions will be considered correct if the highest individual score is recorded exclusively by a player from West Indies Champions. If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and official statistics are available.

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows traders to freely express their beliefs about the likely outcome. If there’s a significant discrepancy, it could indicate that the market believes a sportsbook has mispriced the probability of a particular team’s top batter performing well. It’s valuable to compare both to gain a more comprehensive understanding of potential outcomes.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular team’s top batter, the price of those shares increases, and the implied probability rises. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price reflects the collective intelligence of all participants, creating a dynamic and real-time assessment of the most likely scenario.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The top batter for each team will be determined based on the official match statistics, specifically the number of runs scored during the World Championship of Legends match. The outcome will be based on publicly available and verified data, ensuring a transparent and accurate resolution. Traders will be able to see the final results and the settlement of their shares following the conclusion of the game.
Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather forecasts impacting playing conditions could all shift trader sentiment. Strong performances by a particular batter in preceding matches or positive media coverage could also increase their perceived probability of success. Unexpected announcements about pitch conditions or strategic changes could also lead to significant movements in the market as traders adjust their predictions based on the latest information.
