This market refers to which team's player records the highest individual run total in the cricket match between England Champions and West Indies Champions scheduled for October 7 2026 at 11:30 AM ET in World Championship of Legends. The outcome corresponding to England Champions will be considered correct if the highest individual score in the match is recorded exclusively by a player from England Champions. The outcome corresponding to West Indies Champions will be considered correct if the highest individual score is recorded exclusively by a player from West Indies Champions. If the highest individual score is shared by at least one player from each team, the market will resolve to Draw. The market will resolve according to which team's player records the highest individual run total regardless of if the match is not competed (e.g. Due to weather conditions). DLS/DRS adjustments and any other on-field rulings affecting batting statistics are treated as ordinary data. If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without official batting statistics being recorded, the market will resolve Draw. If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and official statistics are available.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether a particular player will be the top batter. As demand for shares in a player increases, the price of those shares rises, indicating a higher probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share reflects the market's collective assessment of that player’s chances, and the market aggregates this information to provide a dynamic probability estimate. This creates a fluid pricing system driven by user activity and informed speculation.
This market resolves around Oct 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which player scores the most runs in the England vs West Indies match. Official match statistics will be used to determine the top batter, and the result will be reported on Polymarket. The market will then settle, and traders who correctly predicted the top batter will receive a payout based on the final share price at resolution.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding player injuries or changes to team lineups would likely cause shifts in the odds. Weather forecasts are also crucial, as rain could affect the match duration and playing conditions, impacting individual player performances. Unexpected announcements about pitch conditions or strategic changes could also move the market. Finally, any expert analysis or public sentiment shifts regarding player form could influence trading activity on Polymarket, leading to price adjustments and changes in perceived probabilities.
