This market refers to the cricket match between England Champions and West Indies Champions scheduled for October 7 2026 at 11:30 AM ET in World Championship of Legends. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market relies on the collective wisdom of traders. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can express that view through trading activity. This can lead to discrepancies between the implied probabilities on Polymarket and those offered by sportsbooks, potentially revealing opportunities for arbitrage or highlighting differing expert opinions on the likely winner.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes, and the price of each share reflects the market's current assessment of its probability. As more shares are traded, the price adjusts to find an equilibrium point where buyers and sellers agree. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand, influenced by news, analysis, and the overall sentiment of the trading community. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date information available to participants.
This market resolves around Oct 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the World Championship of Legends match between the England Champions and the West Indies Champions. The winning team, as determined by the official tournament organizers, will dictate the settlement of shares on Polymarket. Traders will then receive payouts based on the final outcome and their positions in the market.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, team form, or changes in coaching staff for either the England Champions or the West Indies Champions could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected results in other related matches, or even significant weather forecasts impacting playing conditions, could also influence trading activity. Major media coverage or expert analysis predicting a shift in momentum could also lead to price fluctuations in this market on Polymarket.
