Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Bangladesh Champions and West Indies Champions scheduled for October 9 2026 at 11:30 AM ET in World Championship of Legends. The outcome corresponding to Bangladesh Champions will be considered correct if Bangladesh Champions is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to West Indies Champions will be considered correct if West Indies Champions is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of people believe a sportsbook is mispricing an outcome, they can express that view by trading on Polymarket. This can lead to prediction market odds diverging from sportsbook lines, potentially offering value to informed bettors who identify discrepancies. It’s important to compare both to form a well-rounded perspective.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes of the toss match, and the price of each share reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates based on supply and demand; if more people buy shares of a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the collective intelligence of all participants, providing a forward-looking assessment of the event's likelihood.

This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the officially declared winner of the toss in the World Championship of Legends match between Bangladesh Champions and West Indies Champions. The platform will verify the result against publicly available sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will receive a payout, while those holding shares in the losing outcome will not.

Several factors could influence trading activity and shift the odds in this market. Any news regarding team form, player availability, or even weather conditions leading up to the match could impact trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements related to the tournament itself, or changes in public perception of the teams’ chances, could also cause significant price movements. Major shifts in volume, driven by informed traders or broader market trends, are also likely to affect the odds as we approach the Oct 16, 2026 resolution date.
