This market refers to the cricket match between Bangladesh Champions and West Indies Champions scheduled for October 9 2026 at 11:30 AM ET in World Championship of Legends. DLS/DRS, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the winner determined by that tiebreak will be used for resolution. If the match ends tied and no on-field tiebreak is used or available under the playing conditions (e.g., group-stage ODI with no Super Over), the market will resolve 50-50. If the match is postponed/rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed. If the match is permanently canceled or abandoned or otherwise is completed without a winner, the market resolves 50-50. The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead.

Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market’s odds are driven by the collective predictions of traders. It's common to see discrepancies, especially when public sentiment strongly deviates from the sportsbook’s initial assessment. Examining these differences can reveal insights into where the crowd believes the value lies, compared to professional oddsmakers.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous exchange mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the latest information and collective intelligence of the traders.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official results declared for the World Championship of Legends competition. The platform will verify the outcome against widely available and trusted sources to ensure accuracy and transparency. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome will be entitled to a payout based on the final market price at resolution.

Furthermore, broader factors such as public perception of team strengths and expert analyses could also play a role. Monitoring these factors will be key to understanding how this market evolves leading up to the Oct 16, 2026 resolution.
