If more than 5 players tie for the top 5 in the award ranking, resolution will follow France Football's official top 5 list. Any players tied at the same placement with no further official distinction will be resolved alphabetically by name. If the award is postponed after November 9, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, canceled, or the final five places have not been determined within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from France Football and/or UEFA, including the official Women's Ballon d'Or announcement; a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether a particular player will finish in the top 5 of the Women's Ballon d'Or. As more shares are purchased for a specific player, the price of those shares increases, reflecting a higher implied probability of success. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movement is driven by supply and demand, with traders constantly adjusting their positions based on new information and their own analysis. The current market price for each player represents the market's aggregated forecast.
This market resolves around Jan 1, 2027, following the official announcement of the Women's Ballon d'Or award recipients. The outcome will be determined by the official top 5 finishers as announced by France Football, the organizers of the Ballon d'Or. The outcome is verified against credible public reporting of the official results. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome and their positions in this market. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and based on an authoritative source.
Several factors could significantly impact this market before the resolution date. Strong performances in major international tournaments, such as the Olympics or Women's World Cup, could elevate a player's profile and increase their chances. Individual awards and accolades, like winning league titles or being named player of the year, would also be influential. Injuries to key competitors could shift probabilities, as could any significant changes in team dynamics or coaching staff. Unexpected retirements or transfers could also create volatility in this market, as traders reassess the landscape.
