This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed player finishes in the top 3 of the official 2026 Women's Ballon d'Or ranking. Otherwise, the corresponding market will resolve to "No". The 2026 Ballon d'Or ceremony is scheduled to take place in London on October 26, 2026. If more than 3 players tie for the top 3 in the award ranking, resolution will follow France Football's official top 3 list. Any players tied at the same placement with no further official distinction will be resolved alphabetically by name. If the award is postponed after November 9, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, canceled, or the final three places have not been determined within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from France Football and/or UEFA, including the official Women's Ballon d'Or announcement; a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in an outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher perceived probability. Conversely, selling pressure drives prices down. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds constantly adjust to incorporate new information and changing sentiment among traders. The market's efficiency relies on active participation and informed trading.
This market resolves around Jan 1, 2027, with the outcome confirmed once the official top three finishers of the Women's Ballon d'Or award are verifiable from credible public reporting. The official announcement from the award organizers will serve as the basis for determining the winning shares. The resolution will reflect the final, confirmed rankings, and shares corresponding to the players who finish in the top three will pay out accordingly. This market’s outcome is determined by the official results of the Women’s Ballon d’Or ceremony.
Several factors could significantly shift the odds in this market. Major injuries to key players, exceptional performances in league play or international tournaments, and unexpected changes in team dynamics are all potential catalysts. Any news regarding player form, tactical shifts, or coaching changes could also influence trader sentiment. Furthermore, the announcement of shortlists or nominations leading up to the Ballon d'Or ceremony will likely cause substantial price movements. Unexpected retirements or significant transfers could also dramatically alter the probabilities reflected in this market.
