Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined score exceeds the threshold (e.g., 2.5, 5.5, 7.5, etc.), the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. Only points officially recorded during the third quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Generally, prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market represents the aggregated beliefs of individual traders. It’s common to see differences emerge, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts. However, both aim to predict the same outcome – the total points scored in the 3rd quarter of the Wisconsin vs Iowa game – and can be useful for informed decision-making.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the total points scored in the 3rd quarter of the Wisconsin vs Iowa game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The official game statistics, as reported by a recognized sports data provider, will be used to determine the final point total. Traders holding contracts corresponding to the correct point total will receive a payout, while those holding contracts for incorrect totals will not. This ensures a transparent and verifiable outcome for all participants.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Wisconsin or Iowa would likely have a significant impact, as it affects scoring potential. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact the passing or running game, could also shift expectations. Finally, in-game performance during the first and second quarters might lead traders to adjust their predictions for the 3rd quarter, creating further volatility in this market.
