Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding safety upgrades at the Bahrain International Circuit, or changes to F1’s safety regulations, could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected weather forecasts predicting extreme conditions during the race weekend would also be a major catalyst. Furthermore, incidents in other F1 races leading up to the Bahrain Grand Prix – particularly if they highlight safety concerns – could impact the probability of a red flag. Driver line-up changes or significant car development updates could also play a role, albeit a smaller one.
