This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Grand Final of VALORANT Champions 2026 (also known as VCT Champions 2026), currently scheduled for September 24 to October 18, 2026, in Shanghai, China goes to a deciding map. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The Grand Final is currently scheduled for October 18, 2026. A deciding map is the final possible map of the series, played with the series tied: the fifth map of a best-of-five (2-2) or, if the Grand Final is played in a different format, the last possible map of that format with the series tied. A deciding map awarded by forfeit without being played does not count. If VALORANT Champions 2026 is canceled, postponed after November 17, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the Grand Final has not been completed within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market will be the official match results and per-map statistics on vlr.gg (https://www.vlr.gg/event/2766/valorant-champions-2026). However, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.

Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, this market aggregates the views of many individual traders. It's common to see discrepancies between the two, especially when public opinion diverges from the sportsbook's initial assessment. Analyzing these differences can be insightful, as prediction markets sometimes anticipate outcomes that sportsbooks miss, or vice versa. However, direct comparisons are difficult without a consistent, real-time feed of sportsbook data.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether the VALORANT Champions 2026 Grand Final will go to a deciding map. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a probability estimate. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The closer the price is to 100, the more confident traders are that a deciding map will be played. Conversely, a price closer to 0 suggests a belief that the match will conclude before reaching a fifth map. The current price reflects the collective intelligence of those participating.
This market resolves around Nov 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the VALORANT Champions 2026 Grand Final has concluded and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will resolve to 'Yes' if the Grand Final match requires a fifth, deciding map to determine the winner. It will resolve to 'No' if a winner is determined within the first four maps. The resolution will be based on the official tournament results as reported by VALORANT Champions organizers.
Several factors could influence this market before Nov 18, 2026. Major roster changes for top VALORANT teams, significant shifts in team performance during qualifying events, or unexpected upsets in the tournament bracket could all impact trader sentiment. News regarding player health, strategic innovations, or even meta changes within the game could also cause the market to react. Furthermore, any widely publicized analysis or predictions from prominent VALORANT esports analysts could sway the collective opinion reflected in the price of shares.
