Description

This market will resolve to "Yes" if two or more Western teams reach the Knockout Stage of the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), currently scheduled for October 15 to November 14, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. A team that enters the Swiss Stage through the Play-In keeps the region it qualified through. A team is considered to have reached the Knockout Stage if it is officially confirmed as one of the eight teams advancing from the Swiss Stage to the Knockout Stage (quarterfinals). If the Knockout Stage field is not determined by December 14, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.

Higher demand for shares indicating 'yes' (more than one Western team reaches the knockout stage) will drive up the price, and vice versa.

This market resolves around Dec 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on the official results of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, specifically whether more than one team from a Western nation (defined as those within UEFA and CONCACAF) reaches the knockout stage. The outcome will be determined by reviewing the official tournament bracket and confirmed match results. The market will settle to 100% if the condition is met, and 0% if it is not.

Several factors could significantly impact this market. Major upsets during qualifying rounds, injuries to key players on Western teams, or changes in team form leading up to the tournament could all shift market sentiment. Unexpected managerial changes or significant shifts in tactical approaches could also influence the perceived chances of success for these teams. Furthermore, any news regarding potential rule changes or controversies surrounding the tournament could introduce volatility and move the odds. Monitoring these developments will be crucial for understanding how this market evolves over time.
