This market will resolve to "Yes" if at least one Western team reaches the Knockout Stage of the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), currently scheduled for October 15 to November 14, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. A team that enters the Swiss Stage through the Play-In keeps the region it qualified through. A team is considered to have reached the Knockout Stage if it is officially confirmed as one of the eight teams advancing from the Swiss Stage to the Knockout Stage (quarterfinals). If the Knockout Stage field is not determined by December 14, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, and can sometimes differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks may incorporate factors like marketing and risk management into their odds, while this market is driven purely by traders' beliefs about the likelihood of a Western team reaching the Worlds 2026 Knockout Stage. It’s common to see differences in probabilities, especially as new information emerges and market participants update their assessments. Comparing these odds can provide a broader perspective on potential outcomes.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of a Western team reaching the Worlds 2026 Knockout Stage. As more traders buy shares, the price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective assessment of the event’s likelihood, based on the information available to traders.
This market resolves around Dec 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on whether at least one team from a Western nation (North America, South America, and Europe) advances to the Knockout Stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The final results of the group stage will be used to determine if this condition has been met, and the market will settle accordingly. Traders should monitor official tournament results as the event progresses.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Key events include qualifying results for the 2026 World Cup, performance of Western teams in friendly matches, and any major changes in team rosters due to injuries or retirements. Unexpected upsets during qualifying, or strong performances from emerging Western nations, could lead to increased buying pressure on shares. Conversely, poor results or key player absences could decrease confidence and lower the price. Any news impacting the perceived strength of Western teams will likely move this market.
