This market will resolve to "Yes" if a Western team beats a team from the LCK, LPL, or LCP in a best-of-five series during the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), currently scheduled for October 15 to November 14, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. Only best-of-five series count toward this market; best-of-one and best-of-three matches, tiebreakers, and showmatches do not count. A team beats another team in a best-of-five series only if it wins the series (three game wins); individual game wins within a series that the team loses do not count. Play-In Stage series count toward this market, as do Knockout Stage series. If the results of Worlds 2026 are not determined by November 28, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.

Typically, prediction market odds, like those found for this market, can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim to represent the true probability as assessed by traders. If a sportsbook heavily favors a particular outcome, you might see a lower price on Polymarket for the opposing outcome, reflecting disagreement among those trading the market. It’s common to see prediction markets converge towards more accurate probabilities as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares, the price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price indicates the collective wisdom of the crowd regarding the likelihood of a Western team achieving victory at Worlds 2026. The market's price is dynamic and adjusts in real-time based on trading activity.
This market resolves around Nov 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on whether a team representing a Western region (North America, Europe, or wildcard regions) wins a best-of-five series against a team from the LCK (Korea), LPL (China), or LCP (Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau) during the knockout stage of the 2026 League of Legends World Championship. The outcome will be based on the official tournament results.
Several factors could influence trading activity and move this market. Major roster changes for prominent Western or Eastern teams, significant performance shifts during regional leagues, and the results of preliminary stages at Worlds 2026 would all likely impact the price. Unexpected upsets or dominant performances during the group stage could also cause substantial shifts in sentiment. Furthermore, any news regarding player health, visa issues, or coaching changes could introduce volatility and affect the odds on Polymarket.
