Description

This market will resolve to "Yes" if a Western team beats a team from the LCK, LPL, or LCP in a best-of-five series during the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026, currently scheduled for October 3 to October 17, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A Western team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA), the LCS (North America), or the CBLOL (Brazil). Teams that qualified through the LCK (South Korea), the LPL (China), or the LCP (Asia-Pacific) are not Western teams. Only best-of-five series count toward this market; best-of-one and best-of-three matches, tiebreakers, and showmatches do not count. A team beats another team in a best-of-five series only if it wins the series (three game wins); individual game wins within a series that the team loses do not count. Knockout Stage series count toward this market; Swiss Stage matches are best-of-one or best-of-three and do not count. If the results of the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026 are not determined by October 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizers, TJ Sports and Huya. However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/Demacia_Cup_Global_Invitational/2026) may also be used.

Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the League of Legends Worlds market tracks the current odds, price history, and 24-hour trading volume. Currently, the volume is $24 and the total volume traded is $28. The dashboard provides a visual representation of how traders are pricing the probability of a Western team achieving victory at the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026. Users can analyze these trends to inform their own predictions and trading strategies within this market.

Comparing prediction market odds to those offered by sportsbooks reveals how collective intelligence differs from traditional oddsmaking. Often, prediction markets, like this market on Polymarket, can offer more accurate probabilities, especially when significant information isn't widely reflected in sportsbook lines. This is because prediction markets aggregate the insights of many informed traders. However, sportsbook odds can sometimes be more readily available and offer different betting options. It’s important to consider both sources when making informed decisions.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly reflects the probability of the event occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current price indicates the collective assessment of whether a Western team will win, and fluctuations in price are driven by new information and shifts in sentiment among traders. Higher demand for shares increases the price, signifying growing confidence in a Western victory.

This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will depend on whether a team originating from a Western region (North America, Europe, or others considered 'Western' in the competitive League of Legends scene) defeats a team from the LCK, LPL, or LCP in a best-of-five series during the Demacia Cup Global Invitational 2026. The result will be determined by the official tournament results published by the event organizers.

Several factors could significantly influence this market. Major roster changes for Western or Eastern teams, strong performances by Western teams in preceding tournaments, or announcements regarding the tournament format could all shift trader sentiment. Unexpected upsets in regional leagues, or any news impacting the competitive balance between regions, would likely cause price fluctuations. Additionally, any developments regarding player health or visa issues could also move this market as we approach the Nov 1, 2026 resolution date.
