This market will resolve to "Yes" if at least one European team reaches the Knockout Stage of the 2026 League of Legends World Championship (Worlds 2026), currently scheduled for October 15 to November 14, 2026. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". A European team is a team that qualified for the tournament through the LEC (Europe / EMEA). Teams that qualified through the LCK, the LPL, the LCS, the LCP, or the CBLOL are not European teams. A team that enters the Swiss Stage through the Play-In keeps the region it qualified through. A team is considered to have reached the Knockout Stage if it is officially confirmed as one of the eight teams advancing from the Swiss Stage to the Knockout Stage (quarterfinals). If the Knockout Stage field is not determined by December 14, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or the tournament is canceled or postponed past that date, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the tournament organizer, Riot Games, via the LoL Esports website (https://lolesports.com). However, a consensus of credible reporting (e.g., Liquipedia at https://liquipedia.net/leagueoflegends/World_Championship/2026) may also be used.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and incorporate a profit margin, whereas this market is driven by traders directly expressing their beliefs. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a European team is more likely to qualify than sportsbooks suggest, the price on Polymarket will move accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information access, analytical approaches, or simply varying levels of confidence in the outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in whether a European team will reach the 2026 World Cup Knockout Stage. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, effectively creating a real-time probability assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The closer the price is to 100, the more confident traders are in that outcome. This dynamic pricing allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust expectations.
This market resolves around Dec 15, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on whether at least one team from a European nation advances to the knockout stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Official tournament results, as published by FIFA or a similarly recognized authority, will serve as the basis for determining the outcome of this market. The final result will be determined by the official tournament bracket.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Major qualifying results, injuries to key players on European national teams, changes in team coaching staff, and even shifts in public sentiment could all cause traders to reassess their predictions. Unexpected upsets during qualifying matches, or strong performances by traditionally weaker European nations, would likely lead to significant price movements. Any news impacting the overall competitiveness of European football could also affect trading activity on Polymarket.
