Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often aligning closely with sportsbook odds but sometimes diverging based on unique information or sentiment. Sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If there's a significant difference, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both platforms. However, it's important to note that prediction markets often incorporate information more quickly than traditional sportsbooks, potentially leading to more accurate predictions.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the prices adjust accordingly, reflecting the collective prediction. Currently, the price indicates a strong likelihood of Wisla Plock winning the second half, as evidenced by the high trading volume and the concentration of shares held in their favor.

This market resolves around Oct 9, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the second half of the Wieczysta Krakow versus Wisla Plock soccer match. Any goals scored during the second half will determine the winning team, and the market will settle accordingly. The platform will verify the result against official sources to ensure accuracy and transparency, providing a definitive outcome for all traders involved in this market.

Several factors could influence this market before resolution. Any news regarding player injuries, suspensions, or changes in team tactics could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected weather conditions on match day could also play a role, potentially favoring one team over another. Furthermore, in-game events during the first half, such as early goals or red cards, could dramatically alter perceptions and lead to increased trading activity. Public sentiment and expert analysis leading up to and during the match can also contribute to price movements in this market.
