Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and need to account for profit margins, while this market is driven purely by traders' beliefs. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, opportunities for arbitrage may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither guarantees the actual outcome of the event.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy shares in a particular outcome, its price increases, and vice versa. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing reflects the collective intelligence of the market participants, constantly adjusting to new information and sentiment surrounding the game.
This market resolves around Oct 31, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The determination will rely on official match records and reporting from recognized sports news sources. The platform will verify the result against these sources to ensure an accurate and transparent resolution of this market.
