Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from those offered by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance their risk and ensure profit, while this market is driven purely by participants’ beliefs about the outcome. Often, prediction markets are more accurate than traditional polls or expert opinions, as they incentivize participants to express their true beliefs. It’s common to see discrepancies between the two, especially as new information emerges and the event draws closer. Comparing the two can be a useful exercise when evaluating the potential outcome.
