Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between Zimbabwe Women and West Indies Women scheduled for October 7 2026 at 6:00 AM ET in West Indies Women Tour of Zimbabwe T20s. The outcome corresponding to Zimbabwe Women will be considered correct if Zimbabwe Women is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to West Indies Women will be considered correct if West Indies Women is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. This is because prediction markets harness the wisdom of the crowd, aggregating insights from a diverse range of participants. While sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and profit margins, this market reflects what traders are collectively willing to bet, potentially revealing information not fully captured by conventional analysis. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, access to information, or simply variations in market participants.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and express their views, the prices adjust to reflect the collective forecast. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market odds remain responsive to new information and evolving sentiment surrounding the Zimbabwe vs West Indies T20 series.

This market resolves around Oct 14, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the resolution will be based on the official result of the toss in the first match of the West Indies Women Tour of Zimbabwe T20s. The platform will verify the result against trusted sources to determine the winning outcome and distribute payouts accordingly. Traders should monitor official announcements for the definitive result that will finalize this market.

Several factors could influence the trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team lineups, player injuries, or changes in playing conditions could shift expectations and impact the odds. Unexpected weather forecasts for the match location could also play a role, as could any pre-match analysis or commentary from cricket experts. Furthermore, significant betting activity itself can create momentum and drive price movements, as traders react to each other's actions and adjust their own predictions.
