In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome, the prediction market odds may move in the opposite direction. It's common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or news breaks that influences perceptions of the likely winner of the toss.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about the outcome of the India vs West Indies T20 toss. The price of a contract directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the probability. The current price reflects the aggregated view of all traders on the platform, and is influenced by new information and changing sentiment.

This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is officially announced and verified, and the platform has finalized the settlement process.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding team lineups, potential changes to playing conditions, or weather forecasts could shift trader sentiment. Unexpected announcements about player injuries or tactical decisions could also have a significant impact.
