Description

This market refers to the combination of the pre-match coin toss and the final match result for the cricket match between India and West Indies scheduled for October 9 2026 at 9:30 AM ET in West Indies Tour of India T20s. The outcome corresponding to India will be considered correct if India is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. The outcome corresponding to West Indies will be considered correct if West Indies is officially recorded as winning both the toss and the match. In all other cases - including where the toss and match winners differ, or where no match winner is recorded - the market will resolve to "Draw". DLS/DRS adjustments, over-rate penalties, forfeit/walkover, Super Over, or any other on-field ruling that leads the competition to declare a match winner are treated as ordinary wins. If the match ends tied and the playing conditions provide an on-field tiebreak (e.g., Super Over), the tiebreak winner will be considered the match winner for this market. If the match ends tied with no tiebreak used or available, no team will be considered to have won the match and the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is permanently canceled, abandoned, or otherwise completed without an official match winner being declared, the market will resolve to "Draw". If the match is postponed or rescheduled, the market remains open until the listed fixture is completed and will then resolve as described above.

Frequently asked questions

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows traders to express their own beliefs about the probability of each outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it's important to consider factors like liquidity and transaction fees when evaluating such opportunities.

This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the toss in the India vs West Indies T20 series. The team that wins the toss will be considered the winning outcome for this market. This resolution process ensures transparency and objectivity in determining the final result, providing clarity for all participants.

Several factors could influence the odds in this market. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in team lineups, or weather conditions affecting the match could shift trader sentiment. Pre-match analysis from cricket experts and commentators could also impact the market, especially if they express strong opinions about which team is favored to win the toss. Furthermore, significant trading volume from well-informed traders could signal a change in expectations and lead to price movements in this market.
