Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect the collective wisdom of informed traders, often aligning closely with sportsbook odds but sometimes diverging based on unique information or perspectives. Sportsbooks set initial lines to balance betting action, while this market allows traders to directly express their beliefs about the probability of each team scoring first. If there's a significant difference, arbitrage opportunities may arise, attracting traders who capitalize on the discrepancy. It’s common to see prediction markets become more accurate than traditional odds as the event approaches and more information becomes available.
This market resolves around Oct 25, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on which team scores the first goal in the Wellington Phoenix vs. Mariners match. The official match records will serve as the source for determining the winning outcome.
