If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance their risk, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a particular score is more likely than sportsbooks suggest, the probabilities here will adjust accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing levels of information, biases, or simply variations in opinion. It’s common to see this market converge towards what many consider the ‘true’ probability as more information becomes available.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous trading mechanism where users buy and sell shares representing each possible exact score. The price of each share directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective belief about the likelihood of each scoreline. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more shares bought for a specific outcome, the higher its price rises, and vice versa, creating a dynamic and responsive market for predicting the final result of the match.
This market resolves around Nov 7, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Watford FC versus Middlesbrough FC match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on the official result declared by the governing football authorities. Traders will be able to see the final result and the corresponding payout for their shares once the resolution is complete. This ensures a transparent and verifiable outcome for all participants in this market.
Several factors could influence the probabilities in this market before the match concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Watford FC or Middlesbrough FC would likely cause significant shifts. Tactical announcements from either manager, such as confirmed starting lineups or changes in formation, could also impact trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-match analysis from respected football pundits, may also contribute to price movements. Ultimately, any information that alters perceptions of each team’s chances of scoring will likely move this market.
