This set of markets tracks how many points are scored in the final quarter of a college football game between Washington and USC. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored by both teams combined during that specific period.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the 4th quarter (excluding overtime) of the Washington vs USC college football game scheduled for Oct 3, 2026. For each market, if the combined score exceeds the specified threshold, it resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, the market resolves to a fair price. Only points scored during the 4th quarter count, and all markets are independent but share the same resolution conditions regarding game timing and point calculation.
Generally, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often incorporating information and perspectives that traditional sportsbooks might miss. While sportsbooks set lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. As a result, you may find that prediction market prices are more responsive to late-breaking news or shifts in public opinion. However, sportsbook odds remain a useful benchmark for comparison, and discrepancies can sometimes present arbitrage opportunities for informed traders.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are constantly adjusting their bids and asks based on new information and their own analysis, leading to a dynamic price discovery process. The current price indicates what traders collectively believe the 4th quarter total will be, and provides a quantifiable measure of expectations for the game’s final minutes.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final score of the 4th quarter of the Washington vs USC game is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics, ensuring an objective determination of the total points scored in the final period. Traders who correctly predicted the outcome will be eligible for payout based on the contract price at resolution. It’s important to monitor the game closely as it progresses to understand how the final result will impact this market.
Several factors could significantly influence this market. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Washington or USC would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also move the market. In-game performance during the first three quarters, such as a dominant offensive showing by one team, will likely drive trading activity. Finally, any late-breaking news or analysis regarding team strategies or matchups could also contribute to shifts in the price of contracts in this market.
