This set of markets tracks the total points scored by both teams in the first quarter of an upcoming college football game. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to settle as 'Yes'. The outcomes depend solely on the combined score achieved in the first 15 minutes of play.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the first quarter of the Washington vs USC college football game scheduled for October 3, 2026. Each individual market has a specific numerical threshold (ranging from over 2.5 points to over 27.5 points); if the actual combined score exceeds that threshold, the market resolves to 'Yes,' otherwise it resolves to 'No.' Only points scored during the first quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final result of that game. If the game does not start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines due to the influence of public opinion and specialized knowledge. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action, while this market is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. Over time, prediction market prices tend to become more efficient and accurate as more information becomes available and more traders participate. It's common to see convergence between the two, but discrepancies can still occur, offering potential value for informed traders.
This market resolves around Oct 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the first quarter of the Washington vs USC football game will be used to determine whether the total points scored fall above or below the threshold defined by the market contracts. The official game statistics, as reported by a reputable sports data provider, will serve as the basis for resolution. Traders will then be paid out based on whether their predictions aligned with the actual result.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. News regarding key player injuries for either Washington or USC would likely cause significant movement. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse playing conditions, could also impact expectations for scoring. Late-breaking news about team strategies or coaching decisions might also affect trader sentiment. Finally, any significant shifts in public perception, perhaps driven by expert analysis or social media discussion, could lead to changes in volume and price as traders adjust their positions.
