These markets track specific combinations of outcomes between the first half and the full game result in an upcoming professional football match. Each market requires both the first half and the final game result to match a predetermined scenario for resolution.
All markets resolve based on the combined outcome of the first half and the full game (including overtime) of the Washington vs San Francisco Pro Football game scheduled for October 19, 2026. A market resolves to 'Yes' only if both the specified first half result and the specified full game result occur exactly as described. If either the first half or full game result does not match the market's conditions, the market resolves to 'No.' Postponements are handled such that if the game starts within 48 hours of the original scheduled time, markets remain open and resolve based on the official final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, markets resolve to a fair price. All markets are independent and require both halves to align precisely for a 'Yes' outcome.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven purely by individuals willing to buy or sell based on their beliefs. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially when public perception differs from expert analysis. Comparing the two can be a useful exercise for informed decision-making, but remember that each represents a distinct form of forecasting.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders can buy 'yes' contracts, betting on a particular outcome, or sell 'no' contracts, betting against it. The price of each contract represents the implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market depth shows the available contracts at different price points, giving an indication of the strength of conviction behind various predictions. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for a fluid and responsive assessment of potential results.
This market resolves around Oct 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result of the Washington vs San Francisco game – specifically, which team wins the first half and the full game – will be used to determine the winning contracts. The resolution process relies on publicly available, authoritative sources to ensure an objective and transparent outcome. Traders will be able to view the resolution details on Kalshi once the event has concluded and the results are verified.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Washington or San Francisco team would likely cause significant shifts in the odds. Unexpected changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team's playing style, could also impact the market. Furthermore, major strategic announcements or shifts in coaching decisions could influence trader sentiment. Public perception, as reflected in polls or expert analysis, can also contribute to price movements as traders react to new information.
