This set of markets tracks how many touchdowns are scored by players catching passes during an upcoming college football game. The outcomes depend on whether specific teams reach certain thresholds of receiving touchdowns, reflecting offensive performance through the air.
All markets resolve based on the official number of receiving touchdowns scored by each team during the Washington vs Nebraska college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026, including any overtime periods. A receiving touchdown is defined as a touchdown scored by a player who catches a forward pass from their teammate. Touchdowns scored after a fumble recovery by another player do not count, unless the receiving player recovers their own fumble and scores. Successful two-point conversions, regardless of when they occur, do not count toward any market outcome. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of its original time, all markets remain open and resolve based on the final result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA; all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook lines which are set by oddsmakers. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while this market allows for more direct peer-to-peer betting. As more information becomes available – such as injury reports or weather forecasts – both prediction markets and sportsbooks will adjust their odds. However, this market can sometimes offer different insights than traditional sportsbooks, particularly as the event approaches and more traders participate.
On Kalshi, this market is priced using a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing the probability of Nebraska scoring 3+ receiving touchdowns. The price of a contract directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more people buy contracts for a particular outcome, the price increases, reflecting growing confidence. Conversely, increased selling pressure lowers the price. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures that the market reflects the collective beliefs of all participants.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official game statistics, specifically the number of receiving touchdowns scored by Nebraska during the Washington vs. Nebraska football game. The platform will verify the final results against these publicly available records to determine which outcome – Nebraska scoring 3+ receiving touchdowns or not – is the winning one. The outcome will be determined by official game statistics.
Several factors could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key players for either Washington or Nebraska – such as injuries to wide receivers or the quarterback – would likely cause price fluctuations. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they suggest adverse conditions affecting the passing game, could also move the market. Unexpected announcements about coaching strategies or team formations might also influence trader behavior. Finally, any significant shifts in public perception or expert analysis regarding the teams' offensive capabilities could lead to changes in the price of contracts for this market.
