This market focuses on determining which team will score more points in a specific quarter of a college football game between Washington and Nebraska. It tracks performance during a defined segment of play, offering a snapshot of in-game momentum rather than overall game outcome.
The market resolves based on which team scores the most points during the second quarter of the Washington vs Nebraska college football game scheduled for October 31, 2026. If Nebraska scores more points in that quarter, the Nebraska market resolves to Yes. If Washington scores more points, its market resolves to Yes. If both teams score an equal number of points, the Tie market resolves to Yes. For all markets, only points scored during the second quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market represents a collective forecast from individuals trading on Kalshi. If a significant discrepancy exists, it might suggest the market believes a sportsbook is mispricing the probability of a particular outcome. However, it's important to remember that both represent probabilities, and each has its own strengths and weaknesses in forecasting the result.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the team leading at the end of the second quarter of the Washington vs Nebraska game will be declared the winner of this market. The official game results, as reported by a trusted sports data source, will determine the final outcome. Traders will be able to claim their winnings based on the final result at that time.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Washington or Nebraska teams would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they favor one team’s playing style, could also shift the odds. Additionally, pre-game analysis from sports analysts and any shifts in public perception, as reflected in betting trends, could all contribute to price fluctuations in this market leading up to the game's conclusion.
