This market focuses on determining which team will score more points in the third quarter of a college football game between Washington State and Utah State. It provides a way to speculate on short-term performance during a specific segment of the game, rather than the overall outcome.
The market resolves based on which team scores more points during the third quarter of the Washington State versus Utah State college football game scheduled for October 9, 2026. If Utah State scores more points in that quarter, the Utah State market resolves to Yes. If Washington State scores more points, its market resolves to Yes. If both teams score the same number of points, the Tie market resolves to Yes. For all markets, only points scored during the third quarter count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the market remains open and resolves based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market is driven purely by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamic nature of each system. It's common to see this market move independently of sportsbook lines, especially as new information emerges.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous auction, where traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether Washington St. will win the 3rd quarter. The price of a contract ranges from 0 to 100, representing the probability of that outcome. As more people buy 'yes' contracts, the price increases, and vice versa. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market price reflects the aggregated sentiment of all participants, creating a real-time forecast of the 3rd quarter winner. The current price indicates what the collective market believes is the likelihood of Washington St. winning.
This market resolves around Oct 10, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the official result of which team—Washington St. or Utah St.—won the 3rd quarter of the game will determine the settlement. The platform will verify the result against official game statistics and declare a winner, distributing payouts to those who correctly predicted the 3rd quarter winner. Traders should monitor official sources for the final score to understand when and how this market will be settled.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either Washington St. or Utah St. would likely cause significant movement. Changes in team strategy or unexpected starting lineup announcements could also shift the market. Furthermore, real-time game performance during the first half, such as a dominant offensive showing by one team, could impact trader sentiment and drive price fluctuations. Public perception and analysis from sports commentators could also contribute to shifts in this market.
