These markets track the total points scored by both teams during the fourth quarter of a college football game between Washington State and San Diego State. Each market has a different threshold for the total points needed to resolve as 'Yes'.
All markets resolve based on the combined points scored by both teams specifically during the fourth quarter of play, excluding any overtime periods. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, the markets remain active and resolve according to the final official result. Should the game fail to start within this 48-hour window, all markets will resolve to a fair price. Each individual market has a unique threshold for the total points required in the fourth quarter to resolve as 'Yes', ranging from more than 2.5 points to more than 27.5 points. The markets are independent of each other, meaning the resolution of one does not affect the others. Kalshi explicitly states it is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks and logos belong to their respective owners.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish initial lines based on their own analysis, aiming to balance action on both sides, while this market’s price is determined by traders willing to buy or sell contracts. If a significant number of traders believe the sportsbook’s line is inaccurate, the price on Kalshi will move accordingly. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges or public opinion shifts closer to game time.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders submit bids to buy contracts and asks to sell them. The current price represents the consensus expectation of the 4th quarter total points. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price fluctuates based on supply and demand; if more people want to buy contracts (believing the total will be higher), the price increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and reflect changing probabilities as people trade.
This market resolves around Nov 1, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the 4th quarter of the Washington St. vs San Diego St. game will be used to determine whether the contracts pay out. Contracts predicting a total score that is equal to or below the final 4th quarter total will pay out $100, while those predicting a higher total will expire worthless. The resolution will be based on official game statistics.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before the game concludes. Any news regarding key player injuries on either Washington St. or San Diego St. would likely cause a shift in the price. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also move the market. Furthermore, significant betting activity or public sentiment shifts, as reflected in social media or expert analysis, could all contribute to price fluctuations in this market on Kalshi.
