Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and risk management, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. Frequently, you’ll find that prediction market probabilities align with sportsbook odds, but divergences can occur, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts. These differences can highlight potential value for informed bettors, as the market dynamically adjusts to incorporate new data and insights regarding the Washington State vs Oregon State game.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing potential outcomes. The price of a contract reflects the market’s assessment of the probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders buy contracts for a particular outcome, the price increases, and the implied probability rises. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows the market to quickly incorporate new information and adjust expectations. The current price of each contract is determined by the forces of supply and demand, with traders acting on their own analysis and beliefs about the likely winner of the second quarter.
This market resolves around Oct 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Specifically, the market will settle based on which team is leading at the end of the second quarter of the Washington State vs Oregon State game. The result will be determined by official game statistics and verified against credible public sources. Traders who correctly predicted the second-quarter winner will receive a payout based on the final contract price at resolution. This ensures a transparent and objective determination of the market’s outcome.
