Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)
Both Polymarket and Kalshi resolve based on the official outcome of the Washington Spirit vs. Kansas City Current NWSL match on April 24, 2026, after 90 minutes plus stoppage time, with identical handling of postponements and cancellations.
Primary resolution logic:
Official NWSL statistics and governing body records, with fallback to credible reporting consensus if official statistics are not published within 2 hours of match conclusion.
Core resolution logic:
The match outcome is determined by the result after 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time only, excluding extra time and penalties.
Exactly one of three mutually exclusive outcomes will occur: Washington Spirit wins, Kansas City Current wins, or the match ends in a draw.
If the match is postponed, all markets remain open until the match is completed.
If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game, Polymarket's Spirit and Current win markets resolve NO, while the draw market resolves YES; Kalshi's single market resolves based on the tie outcome being the only possible result.
Edge cases & Clarifications:
Match Postponement: If the match is postponed, all markets remain open and unresolved until the match is completed on a future date.
Match Cancellation Without Makeup: If the match is canceled entirely with no make-up game scheduled, Polymarket resolves the Spirit and Current win markets to NO and the draw market to YES. Kalshi resolves to Yes for the tie outcome.
Resolution Source Timing: Official NWSL statistics are the primary source. If not published within 2 hours of match conclusion, credible reporting consensus may be used as fallback.
Timing:
Resolution occurs upon official publication of the final match result by NWSL or governing body within 2 hours of match conclusion, or upon consensus of credible reporting if official statistics are delayed.
