Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Price discrepancies between Polymarket and Kalshi on the Wagner vs. Duquesne game can stem from several factors. Each platform attracts a different user base with varying expertise and risk tolerance, influencing their trading behavior. Furthermore, the specific market structures – including fees, margin requirements, and trading limits – can impact price formation.
