Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and profit margins, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, opportunities for arbitrage may arise. However, it’s important to remember that prediction market odds are dynamic and can change rapidly as new information emerges and more traders participate.
