Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to profit by balancing action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, arbitrage opportunities may arise for those who can trade on Polymarket and at a sportsbook simultaneously. However, it's important to note that sportsbooks and prediction markets have different costs and incentives, leading to potentially different price discovery.
