Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and to balance action, while this market aggregates the beliefs of many individual traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the larger sample size of opinions represented in a prediction market. It’s common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, and sometimes offer more favorable odds depending on the perceived value by traders.
