Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their lines, and their odds can be influenced by factors like public betting patterns and risk management strategies. This market, however, reflects the collective wisdom of traders who are incentivized to accurately forecast the outcome. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on player rankings and statistics, prediction markets can dynamically adjust as new information emerges and traders refine their assessments. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as the event draws nearer.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe Stephanie Judith Visscher will win, the higher the price of shares representing her victory will climb, and vice versa for Katarina Kujovic. This creates a dynamic price discovery process, driven by supply and demand.
