Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of forecasters, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks typically set odds to maximize profit, factoring in margins and public perception, while this market relies on traders directly expressing their beliefs about the outcome. If sportsbook odds significantly diverge from those seen here, it could indicate disagreement about the likely winner, or that the market has identified information not yet fully incorporated by bookmakers. It's important to note that both represent probabilities, but are derived through different mechanisms.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes, and the price of each share reflects the market’s implied probability of that outcome occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price is determined solely by supply and demand within Polymarket, and is not influenced by external factors or other prediction venues. The current implied probabilities are based on the trading activity of users on the platform.
This market resolves around Nov 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
