Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to profit by balancing action on both sides, while this market allows traders to express their own beliefs about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, opportunities for arbitrage may arise, as traders could potentially profit by betting on both the prediction market and a sportsbook. However, it’s important to note that sportsbooks and this market have different costs and risk profiles.
