Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often proving more accurate than initial sportsbook lines. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their books and ensure profit, while this market allows participants to freely express their beliefs. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply the dynamics of each venue. If significant differences exist between this market and sportsbook odds, it may signal an opportunity for value betting, where one venue offers a more favorable price than the other based on your assessment of the probabilities.
