Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the wisdom of the crowd on Polymarket, aims to reflect the true probability of each outcome, though discrepancies can occur due to differing information or biases. It's common to see prediction markets move faster to incorporate new information than sportsbooks, potentially offering more accurate probabilities as the event approaches. Examining both can provide a well-rounded view.
