Typically, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, which represents their profit margin. This market, driven by the wisdom of the crowd on Polymarket, aims to represent the true probability of an outcome, though discrepancies can still arise due to differing information or biases. It's common to see prediction markets reflect public sentiment more closely than sportsbook lines, especially as the event approaches.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in a particular outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The more traders who believe a player will win, the higher the price of shares representing that player's victory will climb, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures that the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence of the traders.
This market resolves around Nov 6, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
