Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on expert analysis and incorporate a profit margin, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook is mispricing a particular outcome, they can express that view through their trades, potentially driving the prediction market odds in a different direction. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a large amount of trading volume occurs, as the market discovers its price.
