Generally, prediction market odds often reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd effect, potentially differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals trading based on their own information and analysis. If a significant number of informed bettors believe a sportsbook’s odds are inaccurate, they can influence the price here, leading to divergence. It's common to see prediction markets outperform traditional odds, especially when there's a lot of public information available.

Finally, large trading volume from informed bettors could indicate new information is being priced in, causing a noticeable shift in the odds.
