Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, and can sometimes differ from those offered by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their odds based on their own models and risk management, while this market is driven by supply and demand from individuals making predictions. It's common to see discrepancies, particularly before a significant amount of trading occurs. Analyzing these differences can be insightful, as they may indicate where the crowd believes there is value or where sportsbooks may be mispricing the event. However, it’s important to remember that both represent probabilities, and neither guarantees an accurate outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism.
