Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of individuals, potentially differing from those set by traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market aggregates the views of many independent traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or risk assessments. If a significant difference exists between prediction market probabilities and sportsbook odds, it may present an opportunity for arbitrage, where traders can profit by betting on both sides.
